Mumbai’s monorail stops functioning a day after its re-launch

Mumbai, Sep 02 (ANI): Monorail services which had resumed after 10 months in Mumbai on Saturday, stopped mid-track just a day after its re-launch. It stopped functioning near Chembur Naka station on Sunday. Officials said that, cable TV network’s wires got entangled and obstructed Monorail’s cruise. Fire Brigade, ultimately, resolved the matter by cutting the cable wires. The services were stopped after the monorail was gutted in fire in November 2017. The distance it covers between Wadala Depot and Chembur station is around 5 Km. Monorail officials expected that the monorail will receive the same response as it received several months ago. But this incident has again hampered its reputation.
