Intel under scanner for age discrimination during 12,000 layoffs
New Delhi, Jun 02 (ANI): Chip maker Intel has come under investigation for age discrimination in the tech industry. The tech company has been accused of laying off 12,000 of its staff on the age-basis. The accusations came after massive layoffs and restructuring initiated in 2016. The older staff was targeted by the company as the younger employees were retained. Intel, in its defence, maintains that personal demographics such as age, race, and gender were not part of the layoff process.
