Here's how you can request Instagram verification badge
New Delhi, Aug 30 (ANI): Having a blue badge of verification on social media has become a status symbol. Now, the users can request for the verification badge on Instagram. The blue mark on the profile beside the username is primarily reserved for celebrities and public figures which imply that the profile is authentic. However, now the company is opening up the process so that the prominent users missed out by Instagram can request for it. The feature is currently live on IOS app. In order to request verification, head straight to the settings menu and look for the request verification option. The user will be asked to provide with some relevant identification documents such as government IDs, tax filing, utility bills and so on, which won't be shown on the requested user's profile. Once the documents are sent, Instagram will scrutinise the request and inform if application is accepted or rejected. The user can reapply for verification if in case their application has been rejected after 30 days.
