Besan Sev
Ingredients
Besan flour - 1 cup
Salt
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Chili powder - 1 tsp
Hing - 1/4 tsp
Cooking soda
Carrom seeds - 1/2 tsp
Oil
Water
Method:
1.Take a glass jar, add 1 cup of Besan(Gram) flour, little Salt, 1/4 tsp of Turmeric powder, 1 tsp of Chili powder, 1/4 tsp of Hing or Asafoetida, a pinch of Cooking soda, 1/2 tsp of Carrom seeds and mix all the ingredients together till it looks like crumbs by adding 3 to 4 tsp of hot oil.
2.Add required Water and mix the mixture till it forms like a dough and let it sit for 10 minutes.
3.Transfer the dough into the Sev maker.
4.Heat Oil in a pan. Press the Sev maker into the oil to make Sev. Move in a circular motion so that Sev is equally distributed.
5.Deep fry it till it turns golden brown in colour.
Your Diwali Savory Snack is ready to serve.
