Andhra special status row: Centre can’t dictate how state should operate, says AP IT Minister

Amravati (Andhra Pradesh), Apr 12 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Minister Nara Lokesh on Thursday slammed Centre on Andhra Pradesh special category status. The IT Minister said Central Government can’t dictate state operations. “Central Government cannot dictate how state should operate, it is not fair,” said Lokesh. The Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Minister also accused Centre for not calling opposition parties for a dialog on AP special status. “They have never called opposition parties for the dialog and they never understood what the real issues of the state are,” he added. “They (Centre) have never understood what the issues of Andhra Pradesh are. It is our democratic right to protest. All the opposition parties have come together to protest, how else do we get the attention of the Central Government,” said Lokesh.
