'Defiant' Bush claims history will judge decisions he made

Washington , Wed, 03 Jul 2013 ANI

Washington, July 3 (ANI): Former US President George W. Bush has reportedly said that history will judge the decisions he made during his term and opinion polls do not matter to him much.

Bush said that he could care less for the public polls which shows that Americans have started to look at his presidency in a more positive light, Washington Times reports.

According to the report, Bush has been in Africa, where the Republican joined President Obama at a wreath-laying ceremony in Tanzania and has been helping to renovate a cancer-screening clinic in Zambia as part of his ongoing effort to build on the moves he made as president to combat HIV and AIDS in Africa.

Bush said that although he won't be around when objective historians show up to judge his decisions, he is pretty comfortable with what he did.

He further said that Nelson Mandela is a historic figure that made a huge difference and said that Mandela was not the only person to have criticized his decision to invade Iraq, the report added. (ANI)
