Security personnel chase Vijaya Baskar's supporter attempting to flee with documents
Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Apr 09 (ANI): In a bizarre incident, a supporter of Tamil Nadu Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare, C. Vijaya Baskar, snatched some documents and attempted to flee during an IT raid at the latter's premises earlier this week. The raid was also conducted at the premises of actor-turned politician Sarathkumar, some All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) functionaries and government officials by a team of over 100 IT officials. Supporters of Baskar have been alleging a political motive behind the raid that was conducted just few days before the RK Nagar by polls. Meanwhile, Baskar assured of full cooperation with the IT department. Nearly two lakh voters will exercise their franchise in RK Nagar constituency that goes to polls on April 12.
