SP leader writes to Mulayam, seeks seat in RS for Yakub's wife
Mumbai, Aug 01 (ANI): Samajwadi Party's Vice President in Maharashtra, Mohammed Farooq Ghosi has written a letter to SP Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav saying that 1993 Mumbai blast's convict Yakub Memon's widow should be given a seat in Rajya Sabha. Ghosi said that Yakub has been punished for what he had done but his wife and daughter are innocent. He stated that giving a seat for Yakub's wife in the Parliament will give a message of secularism in the country that the nation is not biased towards the family members of the guilty. Ghosi said that SP has always been sympathetic towards the relatives of wrong doers as they are aware of how a wrong act can spoil the life of an entire family so they are capable of handling difficult situations.
