Rajnath Singh and Shivraj Singh takes aerial survey of crops damaged in MP due to unseasonal rains

Gwalior, March 29 (ANI): Union Home Affairs Minister Rajnath Singh along with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday took aerial survey of the fields in Gwalior which are devastated due to heavy rainfall. Unseasonal rain and hailstorms in several parts of Madhya Pradesh since Saturday have flattened thousands of acres of Rabi crops, officials said. The administration promised to survey the damage and provide financial help but agitated farmers demanded immediate relief for their hail-ruined poppy and wheat crops. Singh and the state chief minister also visited areas affected by untimely rain. Union Minister for Steel and Mines Narendra Singh Tomar was also present with them. The home minister said that the disaster is big and that the central government will fully support the state.
