Pregnant triple talaq victim seeks help from PM Modi
Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh), March 29 (ANI): Triple talaq victim, Shagufta, from Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur has sought help by writing a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bring an end to triple talaq. Mother-of-two-girls, Shagufta, was divorced by her husband after she refused for an abortion. She said, her husband and his family members did not want another girl child and doubted that the child whom she was carrying might be a girl. Triple talaq is practiced under the Sharia Law, which allows men to divorce their wives by saying ‘talaq’ three times in a chain.
