Pranab Mukherjee and Rajnath Singh flags off 'Run for Unity' to mark Sardar Patel's birth anniversar
New Delhi/ Hyderabad, Oct 31 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday flagged off 'Run for Unity' at the Rashtrapati Bhavan to mark Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary. The residents and staff of Rashtrapati Bhavan, along with the President's Bodyguard, the army guard and the Delhi Police participated in the run. A Unity pledge was also administered by Omita Paul, secretary to the president, to all the staff members prior to the run. Meanwhile, Home Minister Rajnath Singh flagged off 'Run for Unity' in Hyderabad to mark the birth anniversary of Patel. He flagged off the run after paying tributes to Sardar Patel at his statue near assembly building. A large number of people, majority of them BJP workers, participated in the run.
