Police issues do's and don'ts ahead of Durga Pooja
Siliguri (West Bengal), Oct 01 (ANI): Siliguri Metropolitan Police (SMP) came out in the aid of pandal hoppers in town with guide map in association with state tourism department on Friday ahead of the Durga Pooja festivities. West-Bengal state tourism minister Goutam Deb and Commissioner of police CS Lepcha jointly released the map at a function attended by senior police officers and puja organizers. The map for SMP areas show direction of traffic movement, the locations of police assistance booths, helpline numbers, the names of the big pandals and where they are located and "the do's and don'ts for pandal hoppers. Along with this SMP also launched "Sanmilany" mobile app with a panic bottom which gives u quick response. The main object of this is to normalize the traffic system during the festival days.
