People from varied faiths throng annual Urs of Saint Kulhara Pir

Uttar Pradesh, June 30 (ANI): A Qawalli session heralds the beginning of the annual Urs of saint Kulhara Pir at his shrine in Bareilly city of Uttar Pradesh. With sonorous Sufi devotional music being played in the background, devotees find themselves connected with the saint. And they do not return disappointed..... As their wishes get fulfilled after they pay their obeisance to the saint's tomb. A revered figure, saint Kulhara is held in high esteem by the people of all faiths. His followers, who gather during his death anniversary, celebrate the occasion with great zest. The shrine is beautified during the occasion to give a festive colour to the celebrations. Devotees also lay a sacred cloth and shower rose petals on the tomb of the saint as part of the ritual. Later, a Naat Khawani, poetry recitation in praise of Prophet Muhammad, is held at the shrine. Poets from Bareilly and nearby areas gather at the shrine to recite poems in his honour.
