PM Modi lays emphasis on health improvement during Mann ki Baat address
New Delhi, Aug 30 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the eleventh edition of his radio program 'Mann ki Baat'. He laid emphasis on health improvement programs in the country. PM congratulated the nation for eradication of diseases like polio, but reminded the people that more needed to be done to reduce the mortality rate of mothers and infants. He also spoke about his meeting with scientists from all across the world to discuss about health care facilities and plan strategies for improving the state of health of people. He spoke about how 50,000 mothers and nearly 13 lakh infants die annually during, or soon after delivery.
