PM Modi, UAE foreign minister hold bilateral talks in New Delhi
New Delhi, Sep 04 (ANI): Foreign Minister of United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to discuss bilateral issues. Nahyan is in India for the 11th session of the India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting for Technical and Economical Cooperation with a 70-member delegation including business leaders. The visit comes just days after Modi toured the Gulf country last month, the first bilateral visit by an Indian PM in 34 years. India has invited UAE to participate in 'Make in India' initiative and invest in as many as 25 sectors including infrastructure, energy including renewable energy, defence, railways and highways. Earlier in the day, Nahyan met his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj and discussed subjects in areas like, trade and commerce, investments, finance and banking, energy and others.
