Nepal working out new power sharing arrangement post PM Oli’s resignation
Kathmandu (Nepal), July 25 (ANI): Political parties in Nepal are reportedly working out a new power sharing arrangement following the resignation of Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli on Sunday minutes before parliament was to vote on a no confidence motion against his government. Oli, 64, was forced to quit after allies of his multi-party coalition withdrew support to his nine-month-old government on the charge that he had not honoured the power sharing deals that helped him to become prime minister last October. However, India’s former ambassador to Nepal Rakesh Sood said that the Oli administration had been largely unsuccessful. As he had difficulty managing relations with his people and at the same time with India. The no-confidence motion, tabled by the Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist Centre [CPN-MC], was due to be put to a vote in the 595-member parliament on Sunday.
