NDMC faces flak on decision of renaming Aurangzeb Road as APJ Abdul Kalam Road
New Delhi, Aug 29 (ANI): New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) faced flak on its decision of renaming Aurangzeb Road as APJ Abdul Kalam Road. The council gave its nod that the Aurangzeb Road in Lutyen's Delhi will soon be known as APJ Abdul Kalam Road. Congress said that this is a way of communalizing the matter. NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that respect should not be given to anybody by changing the old names and things. RJD leader Manoj Jha said that renaming the road will rather be an insult to Kalam.
