Mutton Podimas
Ingredients
Minced Meat - 1/2 kg
Shallots - 10 finely chopped
Green Chili - 1 chopped
Garlic - 6 chopped
Ginger - 1 piece chopped
Grated fresh cocunut - 1 small cup
Whole spices - Cloves, Cardamom, Cinnamon
Poppy seeds - 1/2 tsp
Chili Powder - 1 to 2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1tsp
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
Salt
Oil
Method:
1. Take a pressure cooker, pour water, add meat, salt, turmeric powder and chilly powder. Mix all the ingredients together and pressure cook it.
2. Take cumin seeds, poppy seeds, coconut and grind all together.
3. Once the meat is cooked, leave it open and cook till the water evaporates. Grin the meat coarsely.
4. Heat a pan add oil, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, shallots, green chillies, garlic, ginger, curry leaves, coconut and saute well.
5. Add the grounded meat and coriander leaves to the mixture.
Mutton podimas is ready to taste!
