Mahesh Sharma says was misquoted over asking writers to stop writing; terms it personal choice
New Delhi, Oct 13 (ANI): Culture and Tourism Minister Mahesh Sharma on Tuesday said that he was misquoted over asking writers to stop writing and cleared the air by terming it as a matter of personal choice. He earlier said that if the writers are unable to write then let them first stop writing and later it can be dealt with. He also said that these awards conferred on writers by autonomous body which doesn't have any political person or Minister as part of committee. He also added that if the writers stood for this cause of killings of renowned writers, they should be protesting against State Government, and should write to Sahitya Akademi and Prime Minister expressing concern. He also said writers should protest at the right platform.
