Maharashtra: Gadkari clears path for Fadnavis to become CM, politicos react

New Delhi, Oct 24 (ANI): Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that he is not in the race for the post of chief minister of Maharashtra. He said the BJP parliamentary board and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take the correct decision at the right time. Meanwhile, the BJP's Maharashtra unit president Devendra Fadanvis continues to be a frontrunner for the post of chief minister. On Thursday, Fadnavis met Gadkari at his Nagpur residence and reportedly had discussions for about 30 minutes. Fadnavis later told media that he had just come to wish Gadkari on the occasion of Diwali. With these developments it seems, a potential crisis in Maharashtra BJP over the choice of leader for the post of chief minister seems to end.
