Latchiya Nadigar SS Rajendran no more
Legendary actor SS Rajendran passed away this morning in Chennai at the age of 87. Popularly known as ‘Latchiya Nadigar’, SSR is the first actor-turned MLA of India, selected for the legislative assembly in 1962. He was an active member of Dravidian politics. As an actor SSR starred in notable films like ‘Poombuhaar’ ‘Raththak Kanneer’ ‘Rangoon Radha’ ‘Sivagangai Seemai’ and more.
