Land ordinance would not be promulgated on various CMs' suggestions says Gadkari
Mumbai, Aug 31 (ANI): Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari enunciated that Land ordinance would not be promulgated as various Chief Ministers of states suggested that acquiring land for developmental purposes should be a matter of state list on Monday. Gadkari said that earlier land ordinance was a subject of concurrent list but now the Modi-led government has welcomed the thought of putting it under the state's discretion. Gadkari also ridiculed Congress for being anti-rural development and said Congress politicized the issue unnecessarily. He also said that successful execution of housing for all scheme would have required land which was completely ignored by Congress party.
