Lakshmi Sehgal in critical condition
Kanpur, July 19 (ANI): Veteran freedom fighter Captain Lakshmi Sehgal, who has worked with iconic figure Subhash Chandra Bose during the struggle for independence, was today admitted in a hospital in Kanpur, following a cardiac arrest. Sehgal s daughter Subhashini Ali said that her 97 year old mother suffered a heart attack today morning.Sehgal was the head of women regiment of the Indian National Army (INA) set by Bose in 1943 to secure India s independence from British empire.
