LGBT activists ask govt. to act on Article 377
Bengaluru, Nov 29 (ANI): LGBT activists on Sunday urged the Central government to stop giving statements and act on Article 377. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had said yesterday that judgement on same sex marriage should be reconsidered by the Supreme Court. LGBT Activist Akkai Padmashali said that the government must take action to amend the Indian Penal Code's Article 377 which criminalises same sex marriages. Another activist Sheila also supported Padmashali's request to the government and urged to take strong steps for LGBT community.
