Jayalalithaa launches 200 new "Amma Canteens"
Chennai, May 24 (ANI): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Sunday launched 200 new Amma canteens across Tamil Nadu. Earlier in the day, Jayalalithaa took charge as the Chief Minister of the state and began work from the Secretariat. Jayalalithaa also announced five new schemes which include a housing project for poor families. AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa on Saturday took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for a fifth time at a function organised at the Madras University Centenary Hall amid tight security arrangements. State Governor K Rosaiah administered the oath of office and secrecy to Jayalalithaa, along with 28 ministers who will form her Cabinet.
