It happens: Nun barred from writing AIPMT exam for wearing veil
Kerala, August 1 (ANI): A Catholic nun in Kerala was not allowed to sit for the All-India Pre-Medical Entrance Test (AIPMT) as she was wearing a habit (headscarf) and a cross around her neck. The nun, Sister Seba, alleged that she was asked to sit for the exam without her headscarf even though she agreed to go through the process of frisking and checking as told by the school Principal where the exam was to be held. This comes a day after the Supreme Court refused to allow AIPMT aspirants to wear a hijab, saying that “your faith won’t disappear” if it is not worn on a particular day. Sister Seba said that the Supreme Court should re-consider its decision.
