Gujarat riots: Court convicts 32 in Naroda Patiya case
New Delhi, Aug 29 (ANI): A trial court in Gujarat has convicted 32 people in the Naroda Patiya massacre case, in which 95 people were killed during the 2002 Gujarat riots. Bajrang Dal leader Babu Bajrangi, too, has been convicted in the case. The trial court acquitted the remaining 29 accused. On February 28, 2002 during the bandh call given by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), a rioting mob had attacked Naroda Patiya, killing 95 Muslims. The incident had taken place one day after the Godhra train burning incident on February 27, 2002.
