Ghaziabad Police launch search operation for 'abducted' woman

Ghaziabad, Feb 11 (ANI): Ghaziabad Police on Thursday confirmed that they have launched a search operation for a 23-year-old woman, who her family claims was allegedly abducted by an auto driver on Wednesday night. Superintendent of Police Salman Taj Patil on Thursday said that Dipti Sarna, who works in an office in Gurgaon, Haryana, may have been abducted by the auto driver from the main bus stand at Ghaziabad. He said that Dipti's family has filed a case with the police station at Sihani Gate in which they have said that she was speaking to a friend on her mobile phone and suddenly started shouting as the auto driver took a wrong route. He also that Dipti's family had informed the police that they usually came to the bus stand to pick Dipti up and then go to their home in Vaishali. Patil said that on the basis of the information received, the police has started their investigation and a search operation.
