For Jinson Johnson Focus Will Be On 800m In The Asian Games
Jinson Johnson, who had broken the legendary Shri Ram Singh’s 42 year old 800m record on Wednesday, clinched his second gold of the meet at 58th National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships by winning the men’s 1500m but missed the Asian Games qualification time in this event. He clocked 3.45.12 while qualifying time is 3:45.00.
Post his gold medal performance, Johnson spoke about the possibility of participating in the Asian Games in both 800m and 1500m. However, he hinted that if the Federation sends him in 1500m, his focus will solely be on 800m.
