Farmer hangs himself in UP over crop damage

Barabanki, April 26 (ANI): Deprived of compensation over crop damage, a farmer committed suicide on Sunday in Uttar Pradesh. The deceased farmer, identified as Asharam, 35, incurred loss as he lost his crops affected by unseasonal rains and hailstorms. He committed suicide outside the district magistrate's office in Barabanki district. As per reports, crops in 40 districts in the state have been damaged due to bad weather, Mathura being declared the worst-hit district. On April 22, a farmer Gajendra Singh from Rajasthan committed suicide during a rally of Aam Aadmi party in New Delhi. Meanwhile, many witnessed Asharam's suicide in Barabanki.
