Eleven Maoists including top leader, held in Andhra Pradesh

Kurnool, May 06 (ANI): Following a tip-off, police have arrested 11 Maoists, including a top leader, from Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh. The arrested members include top Janashakti leader, Korra Rajanna. They have been booked under Section 121 A (Sedition) and 120 B (punishment of criminal conspiracy) of Indian Penal Code, he added. Police claims the arrest of Rajanna with give a big blow to the Maoists in Andhra Pradesh. Around 46 members of Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Janashakthi party had surrendered before Andhra Pradesh police in 2002. The group had been held responsible for several murders and other incidents of violence in the united Andhra Pradesh in the past.
