EAM Swaraj assures to help Russian youth forced to beg outside temple
Kanchipuram (Tamil Nadu), Oct 12 (ANI): Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has assured to help a Russian man who was found begging at a temple in Tamil Nadu's Kanchipuram. After coming across the news about 24-year-old A Evangelin, Swaraj promptly reached out to him by tweeting — "Evangelin – Your country Russia is our time tested friend. My officials in Chennai will provide you all help." The effect of Swaraj's tweet was seen when the youth received help from police. The Russian tourist was forced to beg outside Kancheepuram's Sri Kumarakottam temple, after his ATM Card was blocked.
