Doll exhibition attracts visitors in Coimbatore
Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Sep 20 (ANI): A month-long annual doll exhibition has become a centre of attraction for visitors in Coimbatore. Popularly known as the 'Golu doll festival', the Handicraft Development Corporation organises the event where thousands of hand-made dolls are showcased every year. Scores of visitors thronged the venue. A visitor, Asha, said she was happy and delighted to see a large number of varieties of dolls and toys. A wide range of dolls including kolu sets, Kondapalli dolls, dolls made of plaster, mud, marble of different sizes and colours have been put on display. Visitors from across the country thronged the exhibition which is held ahead of the 'Navratri', a nine-day long Hindu festival.
