Deka refutes charges of involvement in Hazare aid s assault case
Guwahati/Nalbari, June 08 (ANI): Assam agriculture minister Nilamoni Sen Deka has strongly refuted the reports of his alleged involvement in the assault of Akhil Gogoi. Earlier, supporters of Gogoi belonging to peasant body, Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS), held a sit in protest in Guwahati demanding swift action by the state government into the incident. Addressing mediapersons in New Delhi, Team Member Kejriwal also slammed the central government for being unable to protect people who raise their voice against graft and nepotism in public life. Suspected activists of the youth wing of the Congress Party in Nalbari district attacked Gogoi on Friday while he had gone to take stock of flood situation in local villages.
