Chennai Rain: Centre assesses damage
Chennai, Nov 26 (ANI): Centre sent a team of government officials at rains hit Chennai to assess the damage caused by the heavy rains. A member of the assessing team said that they are ascertaining the damage caused by the heavy rains and flood. They said they will soon submit the report to the government and the government shall take a decision accordingly. Earlier Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa urged the centre and sought financial assistance of Rs. 2,000 crores out which the centre granted around Rs.940 crores to the state.
