Carnival atmosphere in Coimbatore as AIADMK cadres celebrate Jayalalithaa's return as Tamil Nadu CM

Coimbatore, May 23 (ANI): There is a carnival atmosphere all over Coimbatore as AIADMK workers broke into celebrations by bursting crackers, distributing sweets and playing traditional music, following the return of their party supremo Jayalalithaa as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The supporters also poured milk and cream on Jayalalithaa's portrait. The jubilant supporters also placed up huge hoardings and posters of Jayalalithaa on roads and raised party flags and festoons all around. AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for a fifth time at a function organised at the Madras University Centenary Hall amid tight security arrangements. State Governor K Rosaiah administered the oath of office and secrecy to Jayalalithaa, along with 28 ministers who will form her Cabinet. All the incumbent ministers, barring MSM Anandan and Senthur Pandiyan, have been retained in the new Cabinet.
