CJI asks govt not to tinker judicial independence
New Delhi, Aug 16 (ANI): Chief Justice of India, SH Kapadia has advised the government to keep judicial independence while drafting Judicial Accountability Bill. Kapadia observed that any enactment by the parliament should not hinder constitutional philosophy of judicial independence. The Chief Justice said the division of powers as enlisted in the Constitution between the judiciary, executive and legislature should be honoured.
