Boy shot dead in celebratory firing in UP
Bareilly, July 17 (ANI): A 9 year old boy Mehtab has been shot dead in a celebratory firing during the swearing in ceremony of Nagar Panchayat chairman, Riyaz Ansari of Visharatganj in Bareilly. Reportedly, a supporter of Riyaz opened fire after the ceremony. Grieving mother of Mehtab said that her son was hit at his eyes. According to the eyewitness, this unfortunate incident took place in the presence of the Sub Divisional magistrate and Police force. However, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Vandita Srivastav said that the boy has been accidentally shot to death.
