Border villagers in Kashmir demand tough response from New Delhi to Pak firing

RS Pura, Sept 04 (ANI): Angry Indian villagers living close to the international border and line of control dividing the Kashmir on Friday called for tough response from New Delhi to stop firing from across the border. In a fresh round of firing, Pakistan's army violated ceasefire at around 2 a.m. on Friday by shelling villages in RS Pura sector of Jammu and Kashmir. A local, Gurah Ram, recounted the night that his family spent in constant fear after the latest ceasefire violation from Pakistan. Heavy firing by Pakistan on August 24 forced 1,000 border residents to flee to safer locations. Schools in the region have remained closed since last month. The dwindling food supplies and poor health care facilities are further worsening the situation. Another local, Joginder Lal, said the government should take a firm stand to deal with the situation.
