Awareness rally marks World Tuberculosis Day
Shimla, Mar 25 (ANI): Hundreds of people, including foreign delegates, held an awareness rally in Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day. World Tuberculosis Day focusses on the global epidemic of tuberculosis (TB), a highly contagious lung disease, and efforts to eliminate it. Delegates numbering 33 from 21 countries also participated in a training programme in Shimla. State Health Minister, Kaul Singh Thakur, flagged off the rally and appealed to the foreign delegates to join hands for ending the dreaded disease. Holding placards in hands, delegates and medical students marched the streets of Shimla to spread awareness on tuberculosis.
