A winning candidate is asking a losing candidate to develop his constituency: Smriti Irani

Midnapore, May 27 (ANI): Reacting to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s statement that HRD minister Smriti Irani is answerable as to why there is still no IIIT in Amethi, Irani took a jibe and said that a winning candidate is asking a losing candidate to develop his constituency. However, she said that Priyanka should get her facts correct as there is an off campus of IIIT Allahabad in Amethi. Amethi is Priyanka’s brother and Congress vice President Rahul Gandhi's constituency. Gandhi’s remark comes a day after Smriti Irani visited Amethi. Irani also attacked Rahul Gandhi and said that Gandhi scion is not capable enough to defend his own turf, so he needs additional ammunition. Earlier in the day Priyanka Gandhi advised Smriti Irani to concentrate on her core work and improve the state of education in the country. The 43-year-old hit out at Irani, saying, the minister is answerable as to why there is still no IIIT in Amethi. Priyanka, is on a two-day visit to Rae Bareli and Amethi.
