Kamaljeet, who was born with dysfunctional arms and malformed feet, recently topped his writing exams with only two functional toes of his right foot. The gifted child uses a special slanted wooden board to rest his notebooks and sits on a dhurrie laid out on the classroom floor with his legs stretched out as he diligently takes notes with a pen tucked between his toes. A teacher is always responsible for the upliftment of students and Kamaljeet’s teachers were no different, they had helped him learn and write with his toes and now he even paints and draws with his toes.
