Mukesh Chandra Mathur is undoubtedly one of the masters of Music in India. He was born in 1923 in Delhi. After the 10th, Mukesh left school and joined the Public Works Department (PWD) of Delhi government. But the passion for song and his infatuation to acquire the extraordinary flavour of it compelled him to do away with the job and he came to Mumbai to pursue his dream. The excellent voice of Mukesh paved his way in this field, even if he hadn?t got any formal education regarding music and song. His debut movie was ?Nirdosh? released in 1941 in which he both acted and sang. ?Dil Jalta hai to Jalne de?? the super success of the movie helped Mukesh taste the flavour of success for the first time in the film industry. Thus the tale of success that started in the singing career of Mukesh in 1949 went on escalating till his death in 1976, almost two to three decades. The jewel of Indian music and songs, Mukesh has sung scores of lovely and romantic songs and his songs still enchants the heart of his fans and the admirers even after his demise. Mukesh is no more in this earthly world but through his golden music and voice he will always be remembered among his fans.
