CISF or Central Industrial Security Force is a central Para military force in India. The CISF was established in the year 1969 and has its headquarters in New Delhi.

From then on the force has increased manifold in its strength. Initially the force was set up to provide security to the public sector undertakings in India.
The CISF operates directly under the Ministry of home affairs. The force is responsible for protecting over 300 industrial establishments across the country. And most of these institutions are of great importance for India that includes nuclear reactors, steel plants, power corporations, refineries and other things.
But the task of CISF is not limited to the protection of these PSUs only as it also acts as a consultant to some of the top notch companies in India.
In recent years amendments to the rules have been made to provide security to some top notch companies for which CISF can be paid for. In addition to this security of airports across India has been given to the CISF. And this one of the most dependable forces in India is doing its task handsomely.
