It is quality rather than quantity that dominates the sexual life of women. Women are considered more faithful than their male counterparts when it comes over sex. Physical relation without any secured future no more stand for them.
The mentality prevails among male “to use” and among women &quo;to be used” still pertains even after the freedom of having sexual partners of their choice for one night stand.
A slew of women after spending night with male still feel cheated.
While men are felt satisfied after having physical intercourse with women, the latter do not reach to that level of satisfaction. Women, in fact, seek mental support from their male partners to be satisfied rather than simply enjoying the night.
These findings are published in the June issue of Springer’s journal, Human Nature.
Researchers came out with the findings that the concept of ‘one-night stand’ is almost different for men and women. The study conducted on 1,700 people who had undergone such kind of relationship revealed that after spending a night men feel elated, sexually satisfied and confident after meaningless sex while women feel sad and guilty. Almost 80 percent of men felt casual sex is good to have as against 54% of women.
The survey revealed that women generally do not indulge in casual sex unless there is a little bit of guarantee of a long term partnership. Professor Anne Campbell sees not much change in women's attitude towards casual relationships despite the sexual revolution of the 1960s.
The study could be an eye-opener for female, often teenagers, living particularly in metro cities where the mentality about 'sex' is constantly changing with time from having sexual relationship with life partner after marriage to having the taste of sex before marriage.
