Paris Hilton gives the cold shoulder to John McCain's attack advert

Washington, Aug 1 (ANI): It may be hard to imagine, but the only person who hasn't seen John McCain's anti-Obama advert featuring Paris Hilton, is the heiress herself.

And, as it turns out, the lady in question doesn't seem to have any plans to do that in the near future as well.

"She hasn't even seen the ad.

She knows about it, people have told her, but she hasn't seen it, and she doesn't plan to," E!Onlien quoted a friend close to Paris, as saying.

The source added: "She's on tour with Benji [Madden] and isn't watching television and has not been on the Internet. But she's already said she's not too happy about it."

Interestingly, McCain has big supporters in Paris' parents, who even contributed to his presidential campaign recently, but the same doesn't hold true for Paris.

"She doesn't consider herself a political figure, and so she does not appreciate being used in that way. She'd prefer the candidates just leave her out of it," said the insider.

"Miss Hilton was neither asked, nor did she give permission, for the use of her likeness in the ad, and has no further comment," People quoted her rep, as saying in a statement.

In the campaign ad from the Republican presidential hopeful, images of Spears, Hilton and Democratic challenger Obama appear on the screen as a voiceover says, "He's the biggest celebrity in the world. But is he ready to lead?" (ANI)
