New Delhi, March 21 (IANS) She would beam down at people from posters at bus stops, subways and other public utilities. But suddenly, Delhi Mayor Arti Mehra's smiling pictures have disappeared.
Things changed drastically for Mehra's images - mostly found in the VIP zone of New Delhi - when her Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) replaced them with equally happy looking hoardings of the party's prime ministerial candidate L.K. Advani.
So why the sudden change? Well, Mehra's name was doing the rounds for the New Delhi Lok Sabha seat. But now Vijay Goel - who had earlier fought elections from Sadar, which has ceased to exist due to delimitation - is the chosen BJP candidate from the constituency.
Maybe the posters didn't work their charm, at least on her party.
