London, Jan 23 (ANI): Veteran actor Sir Ben Kingsley has said he has no plans of returning to stage, and insisted that he feels more creatively fulfilled by acting in films.

The Gandhi star is trained in classical theatre and has even performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company before taking up movie roles.

Although he acknowledges his theatrical roots, but has ruled out returning to plays.

"I've done one play in the last 20 years. I'm very much a film actor. I think acting on stage is like landscape painting, and I think acting on film is like fine detailed portrait painting," the Daily Express quoted him as saying.

"I really love portrait painting, but I find it difficult to pick up that other brush," he added. (ANI)
