Sydney, Jan.23 (ANI): Nathan Bracken admits he is not performing at his best, but the left-armer is expected to play a leading role with the new ball on home ground SCG against South Africa today.
Bracken has finished 1-49 and 0-38 in the first two encounters in Melbourne and Hobart, but the blond quick is keen to collect a few more scalps this afternoon.
"It would be nice to get a few more wickets. I don't think I'm bowling my best, but the little things I worked on in the off-season are coming off. I'm controlling the pace and I've been able to bowl the bumper with confidence," Fox Sports quoted Bracken, the world's number one one day international bowler, as saying.
"Results-wise I'm not getting wickets, but as far as execution goes I couldn't be happier," Bracken added.
Bracken said it was important for Australia to win the 50-over series after dropping the Test series to the tourists.
Australia are staring down the barrel of a third straight one-day series loss on home soil, which is a motivating factor in itself to perform. (ANI)
