Kate Winslet 'thrilled' to receive Oscar nomination

London, Jan 23 (ANI): Hollywood actress Kate Winslet says that she is thrilled to be nominated in the Best Actress category for 'The Reader' at the prestigious Academy Awards.

The 33-year-old actress has already won two Golden Globe awards for Best actress in Revolutionary Road and Supporting actress in The Reader.

Winslet plays a former concentration camp guard in 'The Reader'.

"Playing Hanna Schmitz will always remain one of the biggest challenges I've ever been blessed with," Sky News quoted her as saying.

"I'm genuinely thrilled not just for myself but for the wonderful Stephen Daldry and David Hare," she added. (ANI)
